How to reach usAt the top of Passo delle Erbe
The Ütia de Börz mountain hut lies at 2,006 m above sea level in solitary and panoramic position. The hotel is located right at the top of Passo delle Erbe, a strikingly beautiful at the entrance of the Puez-Odle Nature Park and at the foot of the imposing Sass de Putia.
Passo delle Erbe and the Ütia de Börz mountain hut are at the same time the starting and arrival point of many hiking and trekking trails.
Passo delle Erbe is accessible from Val Badia and Valle Isarco / Eisacktal. In the summer it is open in both directions, while it is only accessible from the Val Badia side during the winter months.
During the SUMMER months (roughly from May to November) Passo delle Erbe is accessible through the following roads:
- from Val Badia: A22 motorway, exit Bressanone–Val Pusteria / Brixen-Pustertal; follow the SS49 Val Pusteria road until San Lorenzo / St. Lorenzen; follow the SS244 Val Badia road until San Martino in Badia / St. Martin in Thurn, follow the SP29 road to Antermoia / Untermoi and then proceed on the same road until you reach the Ütia de Börz at the top of Passo delle Erbe.
- from Valle Isarco 1: A22 motorway, exit Bressanone / Brixen; from Bressanone follow the SS30 road following the directions for Luson / Lüsen; proceed until it crosses with the SP29 road; proceed until you reach the Ütia de Börz mountain hut at the top of Passo delle Erbe.
- from Valle Isarco 2: A22 motorway, exit Bressanone / Brixen, then take the SS29 road following the directions for S. Andrea / St. Andrä and then for Eores / Afers; proceed until it crosses with the SP29 road, then until you reach the Ütia de Börz at the top of Passo delle Erbe.
- from Valle Isarco 3: A22 motorway, exit Chiusa / Klausen; follow the directions for San Pietro–Funes / St. Peter Villnöß and the SP163 road until it crosses with the SP29 road; proceed until you reach the Ütia de Börz at the top of Passo delle Erbe.
During the WINTER months (roughly from November to May) Passo delle Erbe is only accessible from Val Badia:

Passo delle Erbe and the Ütia de Börz mountain hut can be reached by public transport, needing one or more changes, depending on route and starting point.
- The nearest train stations are Chiusa / Klausen, Bressanone / Brixen, Brunico / Bruneck and San Lorenzo / St. Lorenzen.
- From Chiusa / Klausen and Bressanone / Brixen take the bus to S. Pietro (Funes) / St. Peter (Villnöß), then change to the bus headed to Passo delle Erbe / Würzjoch.
- From Brunico / Bruneck and S. Lorenzo / St. Lorenzen take the bus to Piccolino / Pikolein, then change to the bus headed to Passo delle Erbe / Würzjoch.
Some bus lines only operate in high summer. Anyway, the timelines are subject to seasonal variations. Make sure to check the timetables on the public transportation on the South Tyrol portal.
Commercial airlines serve the following airports close to the Dolomites: Munich (MUC), Venice (VCE), Milan (MXP), Bergamo (BGY), Innsbruck (INN).
