Routes for every skill level

The north face of Sass de Pütia offers 39 climbing routes, ranging from easy 4B paths to the challenging 8C of the Riss Kant route.

Large dolomite blocks create a scenic and thrilling environment for climbers of all abilities. Accessed via a 30-minute walk from Passo delle Erbe, the crags combine panoramic views with well-bolted, freed routes. Beginners can safely take their first steps here, while experts can test their skills on demanding challenges.

Little climbers, big adventures

Located at 1,950 m in Val di Funes, Malga Zannes offers around 50 routes suitable for beginners and young climbers.

The crag, featuring compact dolomite with cracks and holds, is accessible by a 45-minute forest walk from the Zannes Hut. It’s an ideal place to take climbing courses or practice skills before tackling more challenging routes. With a safe, child-friendly environment, it’s perfect for families or anyone starting their climbing journey in the Dolomites

Challenge yourself on the peaks

For advanced mountaineers, the north face of Sass de Pütia offers historic and demanding routes.

Classics include the Via Classica (Via Hruschka, 1919) and the Messner brothers’ route(1968).

In 2022, Simon Gietl opened the solo “Die Auslese” route, adding a modern challenge to this legendary face.

These routes demand technical skill, endurance, and experience, offering climbers a full immersion into alpine mountaineering while rewarding each ascent with unparalleled panoramic views of the Dolomites.
